After finishing law school she worked as an attorney for the United States Court of Appeals in Kansas. Following a time she resigned from her federal job for a career with New York City. Her new career was in corporate law. In 1998 she made her first appearance on TV. The name was widely known due to her frequent appearances on T.V. to discuss Bill Clinton's scandal and impeachment. It was in the wake of the scandal when she began writing her debut novel, High Crimes and Misdemeanors The Case for Bill Clinton. In 1998 she was also accused of plagiarism.
